Dr Murtaza Shakir went to medical school in Pakistan followed by general surgery training in New Mexico and Columbus, Ohio. He did his Surgical Oncology fellowship at University of Pittsburg Medical Center. He subsequently practiced in Louisiana, where he worked for three years as a General surgeon and a Surgical Oncologist. Dr Murtaza Shakir moved to Houston to be closer to family and friends.
